When lockdown happened here in the U.K during the COVID-19 pandemic, I knew straight away that I wasn't going to be able to get to families with newborn sessions booked in the next few months. My heart ached. I know how quickly newborn babies change even in the first few days, and although my families were happy to postpone I wanted to do something to help them capture their new little ones in their first few days. The lockdown 'virtual' session was born: a complimentary additional session for families with newborn sessions booked while I still can't get to them personally.
With a pre-shoot FaceTime call to find the best location and the best light in the house, a bit of direction and prompting on my end, and a lot of screen-shotting, I'm thrilled to have captured these fun and tender moments for this beautiful family.
